Hi Beauties,
A spring bouquet is a great way to bring sunshine and color to your at home work/workout space! Making a bouquet isn’t complicated and it doesn’t have to terribly expensive, either. For the same money that you might spend on coffee or smoothies in a week, you can enjoy this small but sunny luxury in your space every day!
First choose 1-3 bouquets of the same type fresh flowers at your local deli or grocery store. I focus on what looks the freshest and prettiest. Always shop what’s in season! Once you’ve made your flower selection, try mixing colors. This will make the bouquet more vibrant and fun! Depending on how large the flowers and your container are, I would buy 1-3 bunches. Three bunches will make a very full, lush bouquet.
Once you are home open and cut the bottom of the stems. I recommend cutting about 1.5 inches but depending on your container you might need more! Do a test run first, you can always take more off so it’s good to be conservative!
After the flowers are trimmed to the right height, fill the container with water. I love using water pitchers and in this example I used a beautiful old cut glass pitcher. The look is very elegant!
Mix the colors and arrange in the vase or pitcher. Find a pretty spot on your desk, in a window or and where that inspires you. Grab a book, cup of tea and enjoy the view!
XOXO,
Mary Helen
